The village of Burwell
Burwell is a large village on the southern edge of the fen, about ten miles north-east of Cambridges, five miles north-west of Newmarket and ten miles south of Ely.

Many years ago, Burwell was two separate villages, Newnham, the area around North Street and Hightown, the area around the church.
